Africa first. Built for global trade.
African producers and exporters are among the most capable suppliers in the world, and among the least well served by the infrastructure that decides who gets taken seriously. Novium starts there — and the trust model it uses is not specific to any one region or commodity.
A trust layer, not a listings board
Trade platforms usually optimise for volume of listings. The scarce resource in cross-border trade is not supply or demand — it is confidence: that a company exists, that the person negotiating works there and may commit them, and that the relationship between the parties has clear ownership.
Novium records those things separately, ties each to evidence and a review decision, and keeps the resulting record attached to the conversation, the terms and the deal. Intermediaries are treated as participants rather than friction.
Agriculture — avocado, coffee, cocoa, tea and cashew — is the first vertical because the trust gap there is expensive and concrete. Nothing in the architecture limits it to agricultural goods.
Founding network
Novium Markets is being built with a limited group of producers, exporters, buyers and commercial intermediaries who help define the verification standard and the protections around it. Sample companies and opportunities are shown throughout this environment for demonstration and are clearly marked as such.
