Verification standard

We show what has been verified — and what has not

A single "verified" badge is a summary of things that should be read separately. Novium records each trust signal on its own, with its own evidence, decision and expiry.

What is checked

Trust signals

Company identity

Legal existence and registration details, supported by registration documents, tax identifiers and, where relevant, export or import registration.

Representative identity

That a named individual is who they claim to be, checked against identity evidence they submit privately.

Organisational association

That the individual is genuinely connected to the company they are acting for, confirmed by the company itself.

Commercial authority

What that person may actually do: represent, negotiate, or sign — recorded as an explicit mandate rather than assumed from a job title.

Mandate scope

Where a mandate applies: which commodities, which opportunities, which territories, and until when.

Supporting documentation

Certifications, licences and references submitted by the company. Evidence is stored privately and never published.

How it reads

A passport, not a badge

Counterparties see the signal, its state and when it was last reviewed. Signals that have not been provided appear as such — an empty field is information too. Underlying evidence stays private to Novium and the submitting company.

Submitted
The company or representative provides evidence privately.
Under review
A Novium reviewer examines the evidence against the signal being claimed.
Verified
The signal is recorded with its evidence reference and decision date.
Expired or revoked
Signals can lapse or be withdrawn. The profile reflects that immediately.

We show what has been verified — and what has not. A passport is a record of checks, not a guarantee of performance. Each dimension stands alone: a verified company does not imply a verified representative, authority or opportunity mandate.

Limits

What verification does not mean

Verification is a record of checks completed on submitted evidence at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of product quality, delivery performance, payment, creditworthiness or the outcome of any transaction. Commercial diligence remains the responsibility of the trading parties, and Novium is not a party to their contracts.
